Responsibilities of this position include:

•Directs implementation of Finance policies and practices to manage current activities and projected growth of the organization.

•Determines gross-profit plan budgets, and necessary supporting documentation.

•Implements and tests adequate internal accounting controls and services.

•Ensures all finance organization activities and operations are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, laws, and company policies, procedures and regulations.

•Prepares reporting required by regulatory and tax authorities.

•Conducts data collection for cost/benefit analysis and reporting.

•Approves all reconciliations: month end and year end reports (cash, inventory, AP, etc.) and monthly and quarterly sales taxes (GST, HST).

•Works with several foreign currencies.

•Reviews Purchase Price Variances and analyzes for correction.

•Financial analysis delivered with the monthly financials.

•Controls expenditures by analyzing cost information.

•Maintains Cost Accounting System.

•Ensures the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood. Reviews and evaluates subordinates on a regular basis, consistent with corporate policy.

•Directs procedures necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.

•Determines gross-profit plans.

•Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.

•Establishes finance organization policies consistent with the CEO’s broad policies and objectives and ensures their execution.

•Creates the structure and processes necessary to manage the finance organization’s current activities and projected growth.

•Master's Degree in business, financial, or related field of equivalent work experience.

•Minimum 4 years experience in International Finance & Accounting.

•Five to ten years experience in Accounting.

•Five to seven years management experience in a finance organization with multiple reports required.

•Experience with Dynamics Great Plains 2010 or higher required.

•Solid knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.

•Experience working with manufacturing and engineering personnel.

•Cost Accounting/MRP experience required.

•Experience with developing and implementing SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).

•Excellent communication skills with ability to present to all levels of the organization and clients.

•Ability to communicate sensitive information.

•Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaint from clients, regulatory agencies, or member of the business and general community at large.

•Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel) personal computer, filing, calculator skill/competencies required.

•Have excellent analytical skills.

•Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines.

•Ability to work both independently and within a group.
