Senior Accountant – PHILADELPHIA, PA

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overall accounting and reporting of transactions in ECFMG with a specific focus on the CSEC Centers, which includes: budgeting, financial reporting, project accounting, investment accounting, as well as accounting for the 403(b) plan.

Prepare and manage operation budgets for the company. This includes personnel, operating, and capital budgets.
Provide assistance in the preparation of the ECFMG and FAIMER budgets.
Prepare and analyze monthly account reconciliations (including CSEC).
Prepare annual client assistance package(s) for outside auditors. Direct the annual audit and provide direction to staff in responding promptly to auditor's requests. Work closely with outside audit team.
Coordinate the annual audit of the organization's 403(b) plan.
Assist in the accounting and reporting of the organization's investment portfolio including alternative investments.
Prepare and monitor investment activity reports as needed.
Work collaboratively with members of NBME financial staff on CSEC issues including the development of the annual transfer rate, reviewing and approving NBME invoices to ECFMG and coordinating capital programs and funding.
Work with financial analyst in providing departmental financial reports to department managers
Other duties as required.

A minimum of three years of progressively responsible accounting and financial reporting. The candidate should also possess knowledge of currently accepted accounting principles that specifically relate to the non-profit industry, knowledge of finance, accounting and budgeting, knowledge of Great Plains, Dynamics financial accounting, package; including FRX (financial reporting system), Project Accounting and Forecaster (financial budgeting/reporting system).

The candidate should also have the ability to prepare and analyze financial reports and budgets using Microsoft Excel. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA exam required.

Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time.
