ECFMG is seeking a Regional Coordinator, Medical Education Resources at the Philadelphia, PA office. The Regional Coordinator, Medical Education Resources is accountable for ensuring accurate, complete and current information associated with institutions with which ECFMG conducts business.

The Regional Coordinator, Medical Education Resources researches and communicates with medical schools, government officials, hospitals, and other organizations, institutions and agencies about issues related to medical education, post-graduate medical education, and medical licensing. The coordinator serves as a subject matter expert for all topics related to medical education, post-graduate training and licensing for a specified region of the world. In addition, the individual acts as the primary liaison to the institutions in that region and is responsible for maintaining the ECFMG Medical Education Credentials Reference Library and acts as a resource for ECFMG staff in regard to all aspects of the relationship between ECFMG and the institutions in the specified region. The coordinator is responsible for the daily workflow associated with the administration of the ECFMG Medical School Web Portal (EMSWP). The coordinator assists with development of requirements and procedures for new department initiatives, and assists in training staff in credentials and medical education, and ECFMG processes.

Some of the duties and responsibilities for this position are to ensure complete, current, and accurate information included in the Electronic Medical Education Resource Library by regularly corresponding with medical schools, institutions, and governmental agencies via all available methods in order to obtain samples of credentials, acquiring information about medical education and curriculum, and determining what officials at these organizations are authorized to certify documents to ECFMG on behalf of their respective institutions. Responsible for on-going maintenance and accuracy of the ECFMG Medical Education Credential's Reference Library, including addition of new medical schools and institutions.

Additional duties include overseeing and managing EMSWP Services for assigned regions by providing daily customer service and training as a main contact for ESWMP accounts and users, coordinating performance information agreements. Also, the Regional Coordinator is responsible in providing excellent customer service by accommodating diverse cultures, respecting time zones, and work hours, sharing responsibility for the daily administration of department-related group email boxes.

Skills and education include a minimum of four years of professional level experience in an academic, public health, or healthcare setting performing market based research. Experience with customer relationship management preferred. Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Master's Degree preferred. Skills include strong research and problem solving skills, ability to work independently without direct supervision, solid judgment skills required. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and exceptional verbal and written communications kills as well as listening comprehension and interpersonal skills. Foreign language preferred in one of the following languages: Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Mandarin, Persian, and French.

The Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) is a not for profit organization based in Philadelphia, PA. ECFMG has the responsibility of evaluating qualifications of graduates of international medical schools who seek entry into postgraduate medical education positions in the United States. International medical graduates who wish to enter an ACGME-accredited residency or a fellowship program in the U.S. must be certified by ECFMG. The current requirements for ECFMG Certification include passing portions of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
